Exact same thing is happening to me. Total loss of hearing in left ear on 10/22/02. Went straight to the ENT who immediately put me on heavy dose of prednazone and anti-viral. Not much improvement at all. Very difficult to acclimate to pinging noises in left ear and some dizzyness. Very frustrating.
