I might have both tinnitus and hearing loss

You should get your hearing tested by a professional if you suspect that you have both tinnitus and hearing loss.
I might have both tinnitus and hearing loss

If you think that you have tinnitus and a hearing loss, you should get your hearing tested by a hearing health professional, e.g. an ENT-doctor or an audiologist. The hearing health professional who examines you should know about tinnitus as well as hearing loss.

More sounds in the ear

Tinnitus is often accompanied by a hearing loss. If an examination shows that you have both tinnitus and a hearing loss, you may benefit from using hearing aids.

Hearing aids improve your hearing and improved hearing mostly reduces the experienced tinnitus. The tinnitus is reduced because the hearing aids help to transmit more sounds into the ear and further into the brain. In general, the more you hear other sounds, the lesser you will hear the tinnitus.
