Summer camp

The summer season is upon us and if your child is hearing impaired you may be considering a summer camp for hearing impaired children.

Summer camps provide great opportunities for the children to meet and interact with other children in their situation and to build friendships outside of their usual network.

Summer camps are about learning and exposure to new activities, whether these be physical, entertaining, intellectual or social. Camps may focus on anything from horseback riding, nature, sports and physical health to theatre, arts, entertainment and special studies.

Summer camps for deaf and hearing impaired children are held i many countries. For more detailed information about summer camps in your country, contact your national or regional hearing health organisation.
